Stockyard Arena Update
The year 2011 was a successful one for the Stockyard Arena Association.
The AGM was held on the 29th of November and
two new members have been elected to the executive to assist the remaining
executive members in the 2012 activities.

Committee Members:
Ron Reedy, Rachel Fraser, Suzanne Murray, Modris Ozolins, Margot
Peart, Lorraine Hilder and Michael Foster.
A special thanks to Sean Ozolins, whilst on the committee, for his work and commitment in between a busy work schedule.
The fund raising Gymkhana for James Chapman held early in November was a great success
with over $2100.00 raised through the hard work of helpers and competitors
alike on the day.
The SAA has also donated $1000.00 to the Quorn Hospital.
The community has supported this organisation and we hope to continue to reciprocate
in the future.

Without their support, ongoing
major projects and events would not be able to run. These include Neil Mansell
Transport, Carling Fuel, Argadells, Ranges Fodder and Saddlery Port Augusta, Quorn
IGA, Quorn Lions Club, Isuzu Port Augusta, Quorn Pumping Services, and Sibelco
The shower and toilet block construction has progressed with site preparation
complete and building about to begin. The completion is hoped to be achieved
before the events calendar commences next season.
The Lions club of Quorn have donated generously to this facility and will be
recognised accordingly in due course once the facility is up and functioning.
The calendar for 2012 seasons events has been finalised and will be mailed out with
membership renewals and applications during January.
